The Random Color Picker provides a truly random way to generate a simple result. When the mouse button is held down a cursor moves rapidly across the bar. On mouse-up it stops. The color found where it stops is then recorded in the dot to the right and a corresponding dot placed in one of the two color bins. Alternatively, you may also use the enter key while the color picker has focus. One press of the enter key to start the cursor movement and another press of the enter key to stop it and save the value. If you are using a touch device, you can touch and hold on the color picker and release to obtain a sample.
This is the Red bin, it shows a visual tally of the amount of samples that were red.
This is the Blue bin, it shows a visual tally of the amount of samples that were blue.
This graph records the percentage of Red outcomes for the random color picker. As you draw more samples this percentage will settle down near the true percentage of the color bar that is red, demonstrating the Law of Large Numbers.
